To all my dear friends,
How can I possibly thank you all for everything you have done for me during this difficult time? Thank you for all your support, letters, cards, emails, and your love, everything you gave saved my life. I will always remain indebted to each one of you for all you have done; I am humbled by the outpouring of support you have given me.
I am at Mom's house in Colorado Springs at the moment. How long I will be here, depends on the infectious disease folks allowing me to be around horses or not. Hopefully I will return to Parker in a few weeks and begin to teach again. I am not allowed to ride for a while, but as soon as I get the ok I will return to that activity with great happiness. I intend to be there for each of you during the upcoming competition season; it will be fun for all of us to be together again.
This letter is the end to the care pages that have been so helpful to all of us during my illness. I cannot thank Vanda Werner and Gennifer Giustina enough for doing the pages for months on end and the information has been invaluable to all of us. I do not have my computer with me yet, so I have been unable to answer your emails, but I have read every message you sent, thanks to Vanda giving me the hard copies.
It has been a long and very hard road to recovery and I am not out of the woods yet. I seem to see a doctor everyday or go to physical therapy constantly. I never knew something such as taking a shower could be so exhausting; but I am working hard to come back and have my life, horses, dogs and home returned to me. Thanks to all of you, this will be possible.
There are hundreds of people to thank, and I will work hard to send each of you a thank you note in the next few months. But I need to especially thank Laura Jones for all her hard work with the financial side of things and Annette Reals for all her help taking me to the doctor and physical therapy appointments, which seem to have taken on a life of their own. Mom wants me to convey her deep appreciation to all the people who have helped her at home, with the manure and caring for her horses, and bringing wonderful meals which we both enjoy.
I would love to see you if you want to visit, but please call first, due to all the doctor's appointments, the number is 719-598-5493. I loved all your emails, it gave me great joy to hear from so many people I haven't had contact with for years, especially the Lake Erie group. Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done,
With great love and appreciation,
Lynn
